My clients in Berkshire are looking for an RF Design Engineer - Video Products.
This role is commutable from Reading, Wokingham, Bracknell, Camberley, Egham, Staines, Slough, High Wycombe, Wallingford.
My client's cutting edge products include full motion video downlink receivers, airborne video recorders and ruggedised long range surveillance cameras.
They are looking for an experienced RF Engineer to join a multi disciplined design team and take ownership of RF product development from existing designs, and also to create new products in line with customer requirements and in house future products.
The ideal applicant will possess:
In depth understanding of Analogue modulation techniques.
In depth understanding of Digital COFDM techniques.
Understanding of antennas and propagation.
Capable of PCB circuit design (currently Altium).
Able to interpret requirements and provide technical solutions.
Able to write design specifications, wiring schedules, parts lists.
Capable of fault finding and prototype development.
Able to do production testing and fault finding.
Familiar with RF test equipment - Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analysers, Vector Analysers, Power meters.
Able to hand solder and modify prototype systems.
Capable of independent thinking.
Able to do R&D development testing in lab and field environments.
Able to work on initiative and with minimum supervision.
Able to work as part of a closely knit team.
Assisting with exhibitions and demonstrations, and providing technical support to sales.
As with all small companies there should be a willingness to help out in other areas occasionally when required.
